KMFP held an open house on May 20th. In attendance Assemblyman Sam Thompson and his confidential aide, Keyport Councilwoman Bolte, Keyport Municipal Clerk Valerie Heilweil, Keyport NPP Administrator Carla Cefalo, and Valley National Bank Asst. VP Pat Piney.  Other dignitaries, church leaders and businesses were invited but due to other commitments were not able to attend.  Those in attendance met some of our volunteers and Trustees that were able to attend and see our operation first hand.

KMFP Referrals - In addition to the food we also provide referrals to government and private agencies whereby clients or non-clients can inquire about additional assistance for specific needs.  If you know of someone that is in need of specific assistance refer them to us and we will try our best to put them in touch with the proper agency.

1st Day of Summer – June 21st.  Children are out of school, drive carefully.
Summer Volunteers – School will be out soon and some parents might be seeking things for their children to do during the summer, so how about allowing them to volunteer at the pantry?  In the past we have had a few young volunteers who have been able to see first hand and learn what hunger is all about.  Not only did they help us but they also served the community, in some cases their own.   Young volunteers must be 15 years of age or older and can only volunteer with parent consent.  Please note that some lifting might be required. Interested parents can contact us in person or by phone during our hours of operation for further information.

Our latest status:
  • Hazlet Post Office— held their annual food drive in May and we were very fortunate to have benefited from their drive. A special “Thank you” to all the postal employees and to all the residents that contributed goods.
  • New building donations continue to come in. Donation totals are updated weekly if applicable so check our New Building Project page for the latest total.
  • We continue to research grant opportunities.

If you have any questions, comments, etc. please feel free to contact us via email or call us.  The KMFP Staff and Volunteers are forever grateful for your support and all your donations.
