Happy Valentine’s Day!

Spread the word! In January 2008 we mailed letters of appeal for our New Building Project to our current donors and prospective donors requesting their financial support toward our building fund. We have added a new section on our website where you will be able to view and print appeal letter and donation form (click here).  On a monthly basis we will be listing the name and state of donor and update total donation amount to date.
(Names will only be posted if donor has signed the consent form)
Our P/T Assistant Registrar Sabrina Madore has joined the Army Reserve as a 2nd Lieutenant and will be in training for the next six months. Sabrina joined our volunteer team last year and while maintaining a full time working schedule she
found the time to assist us whenever possible because she wanted to make a difference which is what volunteerism is all about.  She mainly focused on assisting our current Registrar since she was very knowledgeable with the computer programs we use and spoke Spanish which was a great asset when interfacing with our Spanish clientele but she had no problems in assisting wherever she was needed. We hope to see her again soon and will welcome her back with open arms.  Sabrina on behalf of the KMFP Staff and Volunteers we wish you the very best. We’ll miss you – hurry back!

For the third year in a row the Keyport and Aberdeen Stop and Shop supermarkets have shown their commitment and support to our organization by their very generous donations. We want to publicly say Thank You to all the employees and patrons of both stores that made this possible. As a small token of our gratitude each store received a Certificate of Appreciation and a plaque naming both stores was presented to Mr. Bill Saal Customer Manager.

Mark your calendars!
The Alan Shawn Feinstein Challenge to Fight Hunger starts next month. The challenge will run from March 1st to April 30th. We received an overwhelming response last year and hope to receive it again this year.

Visit   www.feinsteinfoundation.org for full details. If you require any additional information regarding the challenge and how you can help please contact KMFP Associate Director Marge Conway during our hours of operation.

We have great supporters to our organization that conduct fundraising events throughout the year and we ask that you support them by attending their events. Contact one of their representatives for additional information.

  • Keyport Kiwanis – Fish Fry – February 6th at Town and Country Inn, Keyport
  • Grace UMC, Union Beach – Spaghetti Dinner – February 16th at their Church Hall

Now for the latest status:

  • KMFP was awarded a grant from the World Church Services on behalf of the Red Bank Crop Walk which was held on October 21, 2007.  Thank you to the coordinator of this event and all that participated.
  • We continue to research for new grant opportunities and submit applications when we meet the grant criteria.

As always we cannot say thank you enough for all the support and assistance we receive from ALL our donors.
