Hoping everyone is having a great summer. The summer months are very hard for us because food and monetary donations are at a low. We ask that you take a look at our “How You Can Help” section and if possible donate in anyway you can.

Every 3rd Thursday of the month we get our USDA delivery from the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and are always looking for volunteers for an hour or two (1-2) to help us unload the truck.  If you are capable of lifting we can surely use your help.  Please contact the pantry for more information.

Our latest status:

  1. We would like to publicly congratulate the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties for receiving the highest rank, a 4-Star Rating, for organizational excellence and strong fiscal management from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities.  We are eternally grateful to the food bank management staff and personnel for all the assistance they provide to us.  Congratulations and Thank You!
  2. We would like to thank Sam’s Club of Freehold for their recent “Gift Card” donation.  This will allow us to buy a few items that we are always in need of, especially during the summer months.
  3. We would like to thank the Children of the First Baptist Church Bible School in Matawan for their recent food donation.  Children are our future and it is nice to see that their parents, teachers, etc. instill a sense of giving and compassion in the children toward those that are less fortunate.  Keep up the good work.
  4. In order to continue raising money for a new facility we have applied for a NJ State License to be able to conduct 50/50 Raffles.  Once we obtain all the necessary papers from both the state and municipality we plan on conducting 50/50 Raffles throughout the year to benefit our New Building Fund.  Detailed information will follow once all the paper work has been approved.
  5. We continue to research all possible Federal, State and Local grants that are available and submit applications if we meet the criteria.  We are still hopeful on some of the grant applications we have submitted and have not heard from as of yet.
  6. Donations toward our new building fund continue to come in and we ask that you spread the word to your family and friends.  We graciously and gratefully accept all donations regardless of size.  Please help us so that we can help those that are less fortunate.
  7. We have added a new section to our website entitled “Comments”.  We want to show all our readers what others have to say about our organization.  Please feel free to email us your comments/feedback.  NOTE:  Name/s will be withheld upon request.

I believe the quotes below truly express our sentiments toward our goal of a new facility.

“Perseverance is a great element of success.  If you knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody”.

– Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed”. – B. C. Forbes

If you have any questions, comments, etc. please feel free to contact us via email or call us.  As always the KMFP Staff and Volunteers can never thank you enough for your continued support.
