Greetings,
I am proud and happy to report all the following happenings:
- We have received resolutions of support from:
- Townships of Keyport and Union Beach
- N.J.State Senator Joseph Kryillos
- Kiwanis
- Gethsemane Lutheran Church
- Keyport Business Alliance
- Community Church of Keyport
- First Baptist Church of Keyport
- Valley National Bank
- We have been operating as a 501(c)(3) organization and perform as a separate entity. This was done to allow the pantry greater latitude to act independent of one church, but we are still affiliated with the nine churches of the Ministerium.
- We have applied for over 11 individual grants to relocate to a larger and permanent location. We are currently waiting for a disposition from the Community Development Block Grant. To date we have received the following:
- Feinstein Foundation
- J P Morgan Chase
- We have been working closely with the Township of Keyport to locate and acquire the land necessary to setup and open a new facility.
While this has been a very busy yet fruitful year, we feel we have laid the proper foundation. With Katrina, Rita, floods in New Jersey and continuous happenings worldwide, KMFP continues their pledge of serving the Northern Bayshore area of Monmouth County and our neighbors worldwide as best we can.
We did not do anything by ourselves; we have all of you to thank for helping and supporting us.
