Greetings,

I have committed myself to informing you, “Our Supporters”, of the latest happenings at the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry. Below is the latest status since my October message.

  1. Although we continue to wait for dispositions on most of the grants we have applied for, this does not stop us of continuing to research and apply for grants. Our most recent grant submission was to Johnson and Johnson (J&J).
  2. During the month of October we conducted a Health Survey by families within the towns we serve as part of the J&J grant to get a perspective on the types of medical conditions that exist. This information will be used to establish the necessity for funding so that we can provide our clients’ access to Nutritional Health Care.
  3. We continue to work with the Township of Keyport for the land we require for our permanent location.
  4. Our “New Building Campaign Fundraiser” is still in full force and we continue to receive donations and letters of support for what we are trying so hard to accomplish.
  5. We have updated our website considerably to ensure that we provide you with all the latest information. This is an ongoing effort so be sure to check our website regularly for updates and new information.  A special thank you to our e-Business Consultant Mr. Byron Shafer for all his help in updating our website.

Lastly, we thank and ask all of you that believe in our mission and have helped us through so many years, as well as our new supporters, to become “Ambassadors” for the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry.  Spread the word to your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers of our work and our goal of obtaining a new facility.  Refer them to our website or if they wish to speak to me personally they may do so during our hours of operation and I will be more than happy to answer any questions they might have.

I end my message by saying, on behalf of myself and the rest of the KMFP Volunteers “Happy Thanksgiving” to you and your family. Let us give thanks for what we have and not forget the less fortunate within our communities.
